Crow OW Drama Excerpt
I come face to face with fucking Ginger.
God fucking dammit.
This bitch never takes the fucking hint.
“What?” I growl.
She steps closer and tries to put her hands on my chest, but I shuffle back out of her reach. “Come on, Crow. Don’t be like that.”
Fuck, her whine is annoying as hell.
“Don’t fucking touch me.”
“You always like it when I do,” she purrs.
“Bitch, I haven’t touched you since the night you were so eager to help me destroy Sage. Don’t go pretending otherwise. Now, get the fuck out of my face before I make you.”
“Come on, Crow. I won’t tell her. Let me make you feel good. I can please you better than some kid can.”
My hand strikes out and wraps around her throat. It’s not tight enough to hurt her, not yet, but it’s tight enough to make her scared.
Fear is good.
Fear will get her attention. I really need her to listen before I resort to doing something else to make her.
“Understand this. That kid,” I spit out, “is twice the woman you’ll ever be. It’s not because you spread your legs for the club. It’s because Sage would never be the kind of woman who would come onto another woman’s man and offer to keep it a secret. That woman will always be in my bed, which means I’ll never need to slide my dick into strange pussy. But Ginger, even if I chose to, it will never be your cunt.”
“Does she know everything about you? About your family?”
She must see something on my face that I didn’t mean to give away because she laughs breathily. “Oh, look at you, broken thing. You claim to care about her and you can’t even give her your past while everyone else around here knows. How do you think she’s going to feel when she hears it from someone else?”
This fucking bitch has a death wish. That’s the only damn thing I can think of as to why she’s taunting me like this.
Who the hell am I not to grant it to her?
My fingers tighten, and she sucks in a breath, her eyes widening. Her hands lift to my wrist, trying to pull my hand away, but her moves are weak.
“Let her go, Crow.”
I tilt my head, watching the way her eyes flare with panic and the way her lips begin to change colors.
Why did she have to threaten telling Sage? Just why? My little dove doesn’t deserve this viper’s fangs in her.
“Enough,” Wraith roars, yanking my hand away from her.
“You’re fucking crazy,” she croaks, rubbing her neck.
Even after saying that, desire is still bright in her blue eyes. Bitches always get a thrill when they think they have a shot with the devil who walks amongst them.
And they say I’m the crazy one.
“Keep her name out of your fucking mouth, you stupid cunt,” I growl.
“Ginger, get the fuck out of here. Don’t need your ass setting him off again,” he orders.
Once she’s gone, he turns to me with a scowl. “What the fuck was that? You know we don’t hurt women or kids unless it’s called for.”
I shrug. “Couldn’t keep her hands to herself or my Old Lady’s name out of her mouth. Don’t do fucking drama, Wraith. You know that.”
He scrubs his hands over his face with a sigh. “I don’t fucking have time for this shit,” he mutters before looking back up at me. “Just because you go around calling her your Old Lady doesn’t mean she is, brother. You gotta claim her in the club for any of these people to give a fuck. Even then, with the club whores, that title doesn’t mean much. Know you ain’t touched her since that night, and can’t say I blame you, but you can’t go around choking her out just because she’s got a hard-on for you.”
“I don’t trust her. She’s too eager to cause Sage pain.”
“She can’t do that if she doesn’t have any ammunition to do it with. You given Sage everything?”
“Nothing about my family. Anytime she asks about them, I can’t fucking bring myself to talk about it. I’ve fucking tried too because I can feel her disappointment each time I don’t. I can give her a lot of shit, brother, but I don’t got it in me to face that pain. Especially now that she’s got me spouting feelings like a fucking wanker.”
“You need to tell her before she finds out some other way. That’s information that should come from you. You’re keeping a huge chunk of your past from her, Crow. Knowing Sage, she’s already given you every piece of herself, so she’s gonna be hurt by it.”
“This is why I stayed the fuck away from this shit,” I mutter, clenching my hands in frustration.
Wraith laughs, and I want to knock the fucking smirk off his face. “Too late to change direction now, brother. That woman ain’t letting you go anywhere.”
“Nobody keeps me where I don’t want to be,” I growl.
I pull open the door and the music is so loud in here, my eardrums are likely to bleed. Surprisingly, there’s more sexual shit going on outside than here in the common room. It’s mostly members drinking, playing pool, darts, or cards, and some just shooting the shit. That’s not to say there aren’t hookups happening. Bones, who was a prospect known as Tommy when I met him, has a woman I haven’t seen before bent over a chair as he fucks her from behind. Rembrandt has two girls sucking his cock, and Gremlin is eating some purple-haired woman’s pussy.
I tilt my head, watching him. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen him with a woman and it’s kind of a shock.
And hot. It’s kind of hot watching him bring the girl pleasure. Watching any of them, really.
My eyes widen when I realize it’s turning me on to watch these couples. What the hell?
Yanking my gaze from them, I look around for Crow but don’t see him anywhere. My eyes narrow on the hallway that leads to the playroom when I see a familiar—and hated—face come from out of there. She’s got the freshly fucked look on. Her cropped shirt hangs off her shoulder and her skirt settles right below her ass.
When she spots me, her eyes widen, and she quickly glances over her shoulder before looking back to me.
My body freezes for a second at the implication of that look before coming unstuck. Nope. I’m not letting Ginger get to me. He’s not that stupid.
But all the times he wouldn’t have sex with me flits through my mind.
She comes to a stop in front of me and crosses her arms over her chest with a smirk. “Ah, the little kiddy is finally big enough to come play.”
I grit my teeth. Don’t stoop to her level, Sage.
“Are you here chasing after Crow again?” She tilts her head, studying me with sly eyes. “He’s got plenty of women here to please him, you know?”
The way she stresses the word ‘women’ has my vision clouding. Why the hell does everyone insist on bringing my fucking age into shit? I’m pretty sure I act nothing like a kid, yet they continue to try to treat me like one.
“There are?” I make a show of looking around the room and turning back to her with wide eyes. “I don’t see any.”
Her top lip curls into a snarl and she steps closer. “You think you’re hot stuff, huh, because your sister snuck her way into Wraith’s bed. Or maybe it’s because you think Crow belongs to you.” Her dull blue eyes run over me. “Honey, I bet he doesn’t even give you all of him. I bet there’s still things about him you don’t know.”
She must catch something on my face because she laughs. It draws the scrutiny of those around us and the volume of the party lowers. Her face flushes a bit, realizing everyone is paying attention to us, but it doesn’t stop that filthy mouth of hers.
Little does she know, I’ve had to deal with women like her all my life. The jealous ones, the ones who think they’re better than everyone else, they normally don’t faze me. This one, however, is my one insecure spot. And there’s no doubt in my mind that she knows it. I wouldn’t be my Papa’s daughter, though, if I let this bitch walk all over me.
I smirk. “Probably not, but I have him, and you don’t. You don’t know anything more than I do.”
From the corner of my eyes, I catch Gremlin storming my way, but I shake my head at him. I’m not some damsel in distress. I do know how to take care of myself if I need to.
“If you’ll excuse me, I need to go find my Old Man now,” I tell her.
I’m about to turn away from her to go find Crow when her next words steal the breath from my lungs and have me freezing on the spot.
“It’s cute how you’re so sure of that. Tell me, little girl, has he told you about his family? About how they died?”
“That’s enough, Ginger,” barks Griz.
I wave my hand in the air. “No, no, let her continue. If she thinks she knows something I don’t, then by all means, let the puta sucia rub my nose in it.”
“What did you call me?” she screeches.
My body shakes with laughter. “A dirty whore.”
“Well, your man loves this dirty whore. So much so that I know everything about him and his family.” She leans close like she’s going to tell me a secret, and my hands curl into fists. “His mother and sister were raped before they were killed, and his poor baby brothers were shot in the head. All right in front of him.”
It’s the gloating in her voice that angers me the most. I can see nothing in front of me but a wall of red. My knuckles connect with her cheek, and she stumbles back. There’s an inferno that rages inside my body, a numbness that spreads through my limbs.
How dare she speak on that like it’s her story to tell? How fucking dare she use their horrible and tragic endings as fodder for some competition she’s worked up in her mind?
“That wasn’t your story to tell,” I growl, grabbing her by her hair and pulling her face down to meet my knee.
She squeals, digging her nails into my skin. “Get off me, you crazy bitch!”
I yank her head back. “His past, his pain, isn’t for you to use in whatever game you’re trying to play with me.” I toss her to the floor, and she scrambles backward in an awkward crabwalk. “He is not yours, and he never will be.” I kick her legs out from under her, making her fall to her ass, her elbows hitting the floor. She tries to move, but with the crowd gathering around us, she has nowhere to go. “I may not have all of him. I may never have all of him. But Ginger,” I squat down and pat her cheek, “neither will you.”
The walls are closing in on me, and I know if I don’t get out of here, I’m going to end up breaking down. I refuse to let these people see me break again at the hands of this woman and Crow.
How is it she knows all the important parts, yet he won’t give them to me?
“What in the fuck is going on out here?” Wraith barks.
The crowd parts, revealing Wraith, Crow, Thrasher, Phantom, and Blade. Steel, Ronin, and Tweek aren’t far behind them.
Crow comes over to me, his hand out to cup my face, but I step back and his arm falls to his side. “Sage?”
Ginger laughs as she climbs to her feet, and Crow turns toward her. “Don’t worry, baby. I told her all about your family because I knew you wasn’t going to. She also knows why you haven’t fucked her in so long now.”
Through my numbness, I recognize the way Crow’s body shakes probably means bad things. It means violence. I should probably stop him, but for some reason, I can’t find it in me to utter the words.
Is this what he feels like inside? This horrid void? It scares me.
I back away slowly, my direct stare on them. How is it that there’s so much evil inside one person that they’re willing to harm another to find their happiness?
My back collides with someone, and when my sister’s sweet scent washes over me, my body shakes. Her arms come around me from behind.
“I’ve got you, kiddo. I’ve got you.”
“I warned you, you fucking bitch,” Crow says, his voice lacking the warmth I’m used to hearing. “I told you not to ever come for her. She’s off-limits. She’s untouchable. I fucking told you this. You’re gonna wish you’d listened to me, Ginger.” He turns to Wraith. “Get this fucking bitch out of my sight before I cut her tongue from her mouth and feed her to the goddamn pigs.” He storms over to me. “I’m sorry, baby girl.”
That’s when I lose it. Laughter bubbles up my chest and spills from my lips. My body folds in half from the force of my laughs, but when I rise back up, my laughs turn to sobs.
“You’re sorry? Of course, you are. They’re your two favorite words. You should have been the one to tell me. Instead, you let me get caught by her. How does she know, Crow? How does she get more of you than I do?” I shake my head. “What she said, is it true? Are you sleeping with her? Because you sure as hell ain’t fucking me.”
“Not here,” he growls, reaching out to grab my hand.
His hand is warm against mine as he pulls me along behind him to his room. He slams his bedroom door shut before turning to face me.
“Talk to me,” he orders.
I roll my eyes, wiping away the tears that fall from them. “Now, you want to talk? I’ve wanted to talk forever now, Crow.”
“You told me you’d give me time.”
“And I have,” I cry. “I’ve given you so much time. I know what it’s like to have bad memories. Sometimes I think you forget that. I watched my sister be raped too, Crow. I watched her lose a piece of herself and not get it all the way back until she had Hendrick. But I shared all that with you. I’ve shared my hopes, my dreams. You know my nightmares and the things I wish I could do differently. And my fears. I’ve told you my biggest fears. I’ve given you the dark parts of me and the light ones. And you know why? Because I love you. I love you so damn much, and I wanted you to know that you have all of me. But I’m not going to get that in return, am I? You’re never going to open to me and give me what I give you. That’s okay. I made you a promise not to ever push you, so I’m not going to.” My lip trembles. “Why haven’t you had sex with me? Are you sleeping with her, or are you just not attracted to me anymore ?”
